Professor Kolawole Adebayo

Project Director, CAVA II

Professor Kolawole Adebayo is a professor of rural development communication at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB). He joined services of FUNAAB in 1995 as a Graduate Assistant having graduated with a First Class Honours as the university’s overall best graduating student. As a student at FUNAAB, Dr. Adebayo popularly called Amsterdam won every available laurel. He won the Departmental Best Academic Performance Award from 1990 to1993; the Departmental Proficiency Award from 1990 to 1993; the Deans’ Honour from 1990 to 1993; the Vice-Chancellors’ Honour from 1990 to 1993; Best All-round Graduating Student Award in 1994; the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Postgraduate Scholarship from 1996 to 1998 and the Federal Government Postgraduate Scholarship in 1997.

Dr. Adebosola Oladeinde

Deputy Director, CAVA II Project

Dr. Adebosola Oladeinde is the Deputy Project Director of Cassava: Adding Value for Africa (CAVA) Phase II. Dr Oladeinde has a M.Sc. in Crop Science and PhD in Plant Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, USA, where her research focused on genetic diversity studies of perennial bioenergy feedstocks. During her time at the University of Illinois she worked as a research assistant at the Energy Bioscience Institute (EBI).

Dr Ola Ogunyinka

Monitoring Learning and Evaluation Specialist

Ola Ogunyinka is the Lead practitioner in Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation in CAVA II. Dr Ogunyinka has over 20 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of agricultural development projects at both national and international levels.

Dr Richardson Okechukwu

Project Coordinator of Cassava Transformation Agenda Project

Dr Richardson Okechukwu is a Senior Scientist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and currently the Project Coordinator of Cassava Transformation Agenda Project, funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria under its Agricultural Transformation Agenda. Under this platform he is coordinating farmers at different scales cropping about 2000 ha of cassava in 30 states of Nigeria. He also have supervised sourcing and deployment of over one million bundles of cassava to farmers. He currently leads the Production support activities for CAVA II Project under an IITA/FUNAAB agreement.

Dr Samson Adeola Odedina

Dr Samson Adeola Odedina holds a M.Sc. in Crop Science from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt and Ph.D. in Crop Production from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Agricultural Education from Wolverhampton Polytechnic (now Wolverhampton University) United Kingdom. He obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Vegetable Science and Technology from Beijing Vegetable Research Centre, China in 2000. In 2001, he obtained a Post Ph.D Certificate in Biotechnology from the Brazilian Corporation for Agricultural Research (EMBRAPA).

Dr Kazeem Olajide BELLO

Registered Animal Scientist (RAS)

Dr Kazeem Olajide Bello is a registered Animal Scientist. He holds a Master’s degree in Non-ruminant Production and a Ph.D in Non-ruminant Production from University of Agriculture Abeokuta.

Dr Bello’s work experience started as corps member in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, where he served at the Improved Livestock Breeding Centre (ILBC), Kwatarkwasi, Zamfara State, Nigeria between 1998 and 1999.

Osuntade Olubukola Bosede

Rural Development Expert

Osuntade Olubukola Bosede, a Rural Development Expert holds a Ph.D in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She joined Cassava: Adding Value for Africa Project in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant, and presently a Consultant of Rural Development for the same project.

Previously, she worked as the Program Officer (Research and Development) for Livelihoods Support and Development Centre (SLIDEN Africa), and presently the Coordinator of the NGO.

Olayinka Banmeke LL.B, LL.M, BL

Contract Administrator

Olayinka Banmeke is a seasoned and skilled Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She had her LL.B and LL.M from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria and attended the Nigerian Law School.  With vast experience in several legal aspects of legal practice and procedure, Olayinka brings to the CAVA II Project her expertise in the contractual aspect of Law.

Alexander Oritsegbubemi Thompson

Project Accountant

Alexander Thompson is a graduate of Accounting from Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State in Nigeria, West Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), and an Associate Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the umbrella body for professional accountants in Nigeria. In 2013, his interest in Agribusiness management programme organised by the prestigious Lagos Business School, Lagos

Halimat Badmos Okunlola

Communication Officer, CAVA II Project.

Halimat Badmos Okunlola holds a B.Sc.  In Mass Communication from Al-hikmah University Ilorin, Kwara State. Prior joining CAVA II, she served with the Directorate of Grants Management, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. While in the Directorate of Grants Management, she was the Editor of Grant’s monthly bulletin.

Comfort Remilekun Akindele

Administrative Assistant

Mrs Remilekun Akindele is the Administrative Assistant, Project Directorate Office.  She is a graduate of Economics with specialisation in Education from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.  She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Marketing from LadokeAkintola University (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho.

She began her shares Registration career in Union Registrars Limited as Registration Executive, later appointed as Manager, Abeokuta Branch.

Remilekun has extensive experience in share Registration with over eight (8) years working experience.She has attended various middle management courses.

Ayoade Mathew Adetoye

Investment Promotion Assistant

Ayoade Adetoye graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture from University of Agriculture Abeokuta, now Federal University of Agriculture. He proceeded for his master’s degree in the field of Agricultural Economics in same university. Prior joining CAVA II, he has worked as a research assistant and programme officer in Livelihood Support and Development Centre (SLIDEN Africa),

Gladys Ibidunni Bello-Sehindemi

Assistant Project Accountant

Ibidunni is an Accountant with expertise in record keeping. She graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, with a BSc in Accountancy. She has skills in analyzing and reporting corporate and individual financial status.

Previously, she worked with Land Records Company Lagos as Field officer where contributed in taking assessment and valuation of properties.

Arowosegbe Temitope Adetutu

Assistant Project Accountant

Arowosegbe Temitope Adetutu holds a Bsc in Accounting from the University of Ilorin, Kwara state in Nigeria. She is an Associate member of Association of Accounting Technicians of West Africa (AATWA). She is also a Student Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a recognized body for professional Accountants in Nigeria.

David Oyetola Olasunkanmi

Assets Maintenance Assistant

David is a highly driven person with extensive experience in asset management. Born in Abeokuta, he attended Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State.  Having completed his Secondary School, he proceeded for a professional course in computer operations at Ola’s Computer Institute, Abeokuta.
